How to Live Longer Past Middle-Age
If you want to live longer, run. And if you don’t live longer, it will seem like you are.
Stanford University put out a study that showed middle-aged runners were half as likely to die over a 20-year period as people who did not run.
After 19 years, 15% of runners had gone to the great running path in the sky while 34% had gone onto the great couch in the sky.
Any vigorous exercise is good enough says a Stanford researcher.
Some 284 members nationwide of running clubs and 156 similar, healthy people were the controls.
The runners exercised as much as 200 minutes a week. Now before you think that’s a lot, it’s only 30 minutes a day.
So, if the Olympics don’t motivate you to exercise more, than this Stanford report might. And, if you are healthy and living longer, life is more enjoyable.
